Regulations of Membership
The main purpose of these regulations is to protect consumers against misleading practices. The Board has therefore drafted these regulations to protect fellow members and the public.
The Membership organisation is called Profit Neutral Ltd
Profit Neutral Ltd (the company) is a company registered in England being a company limited by guarantee. Company number 13578728.
The company owns the domain name profit-neutral.org and the collective trademark.
The collective trademark is the logo 'profit-neutral.org'.
Members are members of the company.
To obtain membership members must present a case annually to the 'Board' demonstrating :-
- That their business has clearly defined financial, environmental and social objectives.
- That those objectives are presented clearly to the public through the website, profit-neutral.org.
- That those objectives are being pursued actively through the actions and policies of the member.
- That the objectives are recognised as having equal importance and will have an impact on a member's business.
The Board means the board of directors, who have been appointed company directors of Profit Neutral Ltd.
The Board will consist of members who have past expertise in achieving a balance between financial, environmental and social objectives and third parties who have recognised expertise on solving environmental and social issues.
All members of the organisation are allowed to use the logo and make reference to their membership for as long as they remain members.
The logo may be used on packaging, websites, social media, emails and other forms of publicity provided the media is relevant to and relates to the member's business and their defined environmental and social objectives.
Each member must currently pay an annual subscription of £300.
Membership may be terminated by the Board at anytime if concerns arise over whether a member's defined objectives are being meet or are likely to be met in the following 12 months.
Members are encouraged to seek recognised kite marks and to demonstrate compliance with appropriate certification trademarks.
Members must comply fully with all environmental and social regulations and laws affecting their business.
The Board will seek verifications from the member and from third parties over any issue concerning membership and the member's compliance with these regulations and environmental and social regulations and laws.
If a member fails to prove the verification or information requested within 30 days then membership will be terminated.
If there is any unauthorised use of the logo or inappropriate inference concerning membership then membership will be terminated immediately.
